North Dakota 2011 Flood Relief Grant Guidelines & Application Form

Application Form

Eligibility

• 501(c)3 organizations and government entities
• Located within North Dakota or providing services within North Dakota

Will NOT be funded:

• Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, creed, sexual orientation, gender, age, or national origin
• Endowment programs
• Political projects
• Private organizations
• Individuals

Granting guidelines :

• Funding priority will be given to organizations providing immediate or direct assistance to individuals and families affected by flooding.
• Applicants should demonstrate a focus on flood recovery efforts, including a description of how the organization will meet a clear, identifiable need in the community.
• Funding decisions will take into account the operational strength of the applicant organization.

Application process:

1. The application form is available by clicking the Application Form button above or by clicking here. Please be sure to include all required information and supporting documents. Contact the NDCF's Administrator with any questions you have.
2. Applications and supporting materials for the second grant round must be received at the North Dakota Community Foundation by October 10, 2011. Completed applications along with supporting materials may be emailed to the foundation's Administrator or printed and mailed to the foundation's office. 
3. A volunteer committee of community leaders from flood affected areas will review applications and prospective grantees will be notified the week of October 24, 2011.
4. Grant recipients will be notified and grant funds will be distributed as quickly as possible thereafter.
5. Recipients will be required to submit a written report after the grant funds have been spent. The report will need to include information such as the location(s) served, the number of people helped, and the categories of people served (i.e. seniors, families, children, students).
