FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO
PROUD TRADITION |
The North Dakota Community
Foundation reaches its
30th Anniversary this year with much to celebrate. Conceived
from a vision of a group of innovative North Dakotans back in 1976,
the North Dakota Community Foundation has come a long way. |
| The Foundation began operations
with virtually no assets and has grown to hold a portfolio now worth
over $33 million. Hard work, dedication and patience have all played
important roles in this growth, but it is truly the volunteers all
across the state who have made the North Dakota Community Foundation
successful. Each of the 450+ funds listed in this annual report has
a wealth of volunteers behind it, quietly, humbly going about the
work or growing their funds, planning for the future. With a paid
staff of only three people, we could not possibly carry out the
mission of the North Dakota Community Foundation without this base
of volunteers. |
| So as we celebrate the 30th
Anniversary of the North Dakota Community Foundation, we invite you
all to celebrate with us, for the North Dakota Community Foundation
is really your Foundation. It belongs to the people of North Dakota;
the thousands of donors, hundreds of volunteers and ambassadors of
the mission. To each and every one of you, we say THANK YOU and we
look forward to the next thirty years together. |
