Community Connection
Transitions:
Early in 2009, long-time North Dakota Community Foundation Administrator Valerie M. Bren took ill. This illness caused her to retire early from her position at the NDCF. Valerie started at the Foundation in 1979. The Foundation’s growth and success is owed in no small part to her dedication, competence, and attitude. She not only implemented the first computerized accounting system at the Foundation, she actually wrote some of the software in dbaseIII that the NDCF used in those early years. We miss her and wish her well as she battles her health challenges.
