No. In its more recent history, the Foundation has taken the initiative to assemble teams of people and create innovative program solutions to complex problems. For example, the North Dakota Nonprofit Association was started with the impetus of the North Dakota Community Foundation. NDCF assembled the leadership and raised the funds necessary to get this organization established. NDCF was also instrumental in the writing and successful passage of the legislation that gave a 40% State Tax Credit to gifts to qualified endowment funds, a huge benefit to donors of all North Dakota endowment funds.
