Scholarships for Students from Minot

[] Minot Kiwanis Club Scholarship Endowment Fund

The Fund was established by The Kiwanis Club of Minot in 1985 to assist deserving students attending a Minot post-secondary institution and receiving training in a music education related field and is named in honor of Mr. Arturro Petrucci-a long time music educator in Minot. The purpose of the Fund is to benefit youth which is also the aim of Kiwanis International and The Kiwanis Club of Minot. The Fund is a Permanent Endowment Fund Agreement between The Kiwanis Club of Minot and the North Dakota Community Foundation located in Bismarck.

Students attending a Minot Post-secondary institution and receiving training in a music education related field are qualified to apply. Emphasis is placed on students who achieve not just in academics but in other leadership activities as well. The Youth Services Committee of The Kiwanis Club of Minot will review the application and forward its recommendations to the North Dakota Community Foundation. Applications must be returned by April 1st to be considered for an award.

Governor Jack Dalrymple has requested a fund be established at the NDCF to support our local communities who have been affected by the recent unprecedented flooding. The fund will allow donors to financially support communities that have been affected by flooding. Donations may be made via cash, or credit card on our website.

Established in 1990 by the estate of Orvald J. Bjerken to support the work of the North Dakota Community Foundation.

The fund was established with proceeds from a charitable gift annuity established by James and Anne Ryan during their lifetimes and maturing upon the death of Anne in the fall of 2009. The Fund will support the work of Catholic Charities, the University of Mary and Minot Catholic Schools.

Established in 1999 by the parents in loving memory of Kirstin Skari who passed away on July 10, 1999 from viral meningitis and encephalitis. She had just completed her freshman year at the University of North Dakota. Applicants must be sophomore or junior members of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at the University of North Dakota.

Established in 2009 with a gift from the estates of T.A. and Anna Solheim, this fund was setup as a sub-fund of the Minot Community Endowment Fund. Mr. Solheim served as the first chair of the North Dakota Community Foundation.
