About Us
The Billings County Community Foundation was established by local residents who recognized the need for a sustainable source of funding to support community projects and nonprofit organizations throughout Billings County. Through charitable gifts from individuals, families, businesses, and organizations, the Foundation provides lasting support for projects that strengthen our community.
The Billings County Community Foundation (BCCF) is a component fund of the North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF), a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under IRS Code 501(c)(3) and North Dakota law.
Local Leadership
The Billings County Community Foundation is led by a local volunteer advisory committee dedicated to growing the fund, promoting charitable giving, and recommending grants that benefit Billings County.

As the Foundation grows, so does its impact. We invite individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to make a charitable gift to help strengthen Billings County for generations to come.

Our Funds
The Billings County Community Foundation offers two charitable funds to support local needs:
Endowment Fund: Our primary fund providing permanent support for Billings County. Gifts of more than $5,000 may qualify for the 40% North Dakota Endowment Tax Credit (subject to state requirements). Approximately 4% of the fund's value is distributed annually through local grants.
Project Fund: Supports current community needs through grants and charitable projects. Gifts are available for immediate local impact rather than being permanently invested.
About the North Dakota Community Foundation
For more than 50 years, the North Dakota Community Foundation has provided administrative, investment, and charitable expertise to community foundations across the state. This partnership allows BCCF's volunteer committee to focus on growing the Foundation, awarding grants, and making a lasting local impact.
